The US Government
funded Design Democracy Internet Portal, developed by the National Democratic Institute (NDI) in partnership with HKU included a website and the use of
assorted social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and others
to share information and help coordinate actions during Occupy Central.

will highlight the role of senior Civic Party member Jennifer Anne Eagleton
(Jenny Eagleton), who not only allowed the Civic Party to infiltrate HKU during
the Occupy Central protests, but also acted as consigliere and bridge between student
leaders and the Civic Party during the protests.
